We will start our journey in the direction of Ouarzazate. Passing through the Tizi'nTichka hill (2260 meters high) will cross the High Atlas surrounded by spectacular scenery to reach the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, one of the largest and best preserved of Morocco, declared UNESCO heritage and scenery of multiple films like Gladiator, The Sheltering Sky, and Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves. We continue our journey to Zagora, a starting point for the caravans to Timbuktu for their long 52-day trip. We will arrive at Berber village of Agdz, crossing the lush green valley of the Draa, known as the biggest palm grove in Morocco. Once in Zagora, we go up on the back of the camel to delve into the desert and watch a stunning sunset. We will be delighted by a traditional dinner and spend the night in an authentic Berber tent.
The day will begin with an unforgettable event: the sunrise in the desert. After breakfast, we return to Zagora to leave the camels and continue our journey. Again we cross the Draa Valley and Agdz to get to Ouarzazate, where we will visit the Kasbah Taourirt. In the afternoon we will resume the way back to get to Marrakech in the evening.
