Tour 12 Days : Grand tour of morocco

 

Day 1 : Marrakech - Casablanca - Rabat :

After a hearty breakfast we set off to visit Casablanca. We'll visit the mosque of Hassan II and soon after we leave for Rabat crossing the medina and its souks. Then we will visit the Hassan II tower, the remains of the old mosque, and the mausoleum of Mohammed V. From here you will return to the new city to see the Royal Palace, official residence of King Mohamed VI. Dinner and overnight will be in a riad.

Day 2 : Meknes - Volubilis - Fes :

After breakfast, we depart for Meknes, a World Heritage Site. We'll get back on the road to the archaeological site of Volubilis, the ruins of which are located in the middle of a fertile plain. You get to Fès in the evening, have dinner and spend the night in a riad.

Day 3 : La visita di Fès :

The day will begin with a guided tour of Fès, perhaps the most famous of the imperial cities after Marrakech. You can start your tour of the old city of Fès (Fez el-Bali) and its medina, the largest and most famous in the Arab world. It continues with the visit of the madrasa Bou Inania, the Koranic school in Fès, where boys studied the Koran between rooms, chapel and a magnificent patio. The tour then continues through the Chouara tannery, discovering the leather processing system, the first clean-up of the hair to the color with natural dyes. The city tour ends in Beffarne passing through the square, where coppersmiths and tinkers populate the square and adjacent streets. Dinner and overnight in a riad.

Day 4 : Fès Midelt - Errachidia - Erfoud :

After breakfast, we leave for the South. First stop: Ifrane, a unique mountain site at 1650 meters, nicknamed the "Switzerland of Morocco". The first village you meet along the way is Azrou, famous for the presence of colonies of monkeys that live in the wild in the forest that surrounds it. We will then take the road that climbs the Middle Atlas. The road continues through the gorges of the Ziz until arriving in Er-Rachidia. We'll arrive in Erfoud, where we'll spend the night. Dinner and overnight in a riad.

Day 5 : Erfoud - Rissani - Merzouga :

Departure for Rissani, the gateway to the desert, known for its market, the most important in the South where many desert nomads come to shop. Here you can taste the Berber pizza with its 44 spices. From here we head to Merzouga in the late afternoon. We'll take the camels to reach the dunes of Erg Chebbi from which you can admire a spectacular sunset. We'll dine and sleep in a tent (even in a VIP tent), in equipped camp.

Day 6 : Merzouga / Todra Gorge / Dades Valley / Dades Gorges :

After breakfast we will continue in the 4 × 4 for a tour to the village of Kamlia, famous for its inhabitants from black Africa and their Gnawa music. We'll head to Todra gorges, among the most beautiful of southern Morocco. We continue to Boumalne Dades and along this valley is all a succession of ksours, small fortified villages, in the middle of fields and orchards. From here we continue to the Dades gorges. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 7 : Dades Gorges / Ouarzazate :

The day will begin along the valley of the roses along the road of Thousand Kasbah, the typical constructions of southern Morocco. We'll make a stop in the main town of the valley, El-Kalaa M'Gouna, famous for the flowering of the damask rose, the flower from which you will get many products for body care. You will then go to Ouarzazate to visit the largest film studios and famous from all over Africa, the Atlas Studios, where films such as Gladiator and then the Kasbah of Taourirt, always in Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight in a riad.

Day 8 : Ouarzazate - Taroudant :

From Ouarzazate we reach the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, the setting for many films like Gladiator, The Sheltering Sky. Then we continue to Taroudant, nicknamed the small Marrakech and known for local handicrafts, silver jewelry and carpets. Dinner and overnight in riad.

Day 9 : Taroudant - Agadir - Essaouira :

Taroudant depart from the morning to Agadir, where we will visit the remains of the ancient Kasbah and will walk until arriving at the port. We walk to get to the delicious Essaouira. Dinner and overnight in a riad.

Day 10 : Essaouira :

Today will be a day dedicated to relaxation and a visit in total freedom in Essaouira, the white city. We will make a walk through the souk and the market, getting lost in a maze of narrow streets. Free-time for dinner. Overnight in a riad.

Day 11 : Essaouira - Marrakech :

It starts after breakfast in the direction of Marrakech. Along the way you can make a stop in one of the cooperatives of women working the argan fruit, gaining a precious oil for cosmetic and food uses. Dinner and overnight in riad.

Day 12 : Marrakech :

After breakfast we start to discover Marrakech: a local guide will accompany you to a visit of the Bahia Palace. It continues with a visit to the Saadian tombs, who guard the tombs of the kings of this dynasty and family. If you are interested there is a possibility to visit the Majorelle gardens or relax among the warmth of a steam and / or with a massage with Argan oil. Dinner is free-time so worth having dinner in the big square Jamaa el-Fna. Here you can see the characteristic street vendors, which ensure a continuous show: fortune tellers, snake charmers, music groups, water carriers, and tattoo artists. Overnight in a riad.
